On December 8, 2005 MONA had the honor to present on the Great Stage of the National Theater the artistic collection «TESLA» by the author Olja Ivanjicki.
The collection «TESLA» was devoted to the greatest artist among the scientists – Nikola Tesla, a Serb who lit the world, on the 150th anniversary of his birth. The magnitude of his work served as inspiration to our best known painter in the second half of the 20th century – OLJA IVANJICKI to join the art of the genius with her own vision. The result of this synthesis is this unique collection.
AUTHOR’S INSPIRATION :
„Nikola Tesla is so great in his ideas for the good of the mankind, which did not use them at all, perhaps because they were ahead of the time, just like many other ideas. Therefore, the only thing we can do today is to remember him, honor him, love and admire him as though he is among us now. Everyone has the right to claim him.”
The assistant of Olja Ivanjicki in the execution of the collection “TESLA” was Tanja Jovičić
She was born in Belgrade in 1977. She graduated from the “Instituto Marangoni” Italy, and then worked on the lines Valentino, Samsonite, and as illustrator of fashion magazines. She participated in numerous international exhibitions of young designers (Osaka, Kobe).
In the execution of presentation of the collection «TESLA» at the National Theater participated: LJUBIVOJE TADIĆ – director, Aleksandar Zlatović – stage designer, Petar Antonović –musical associate, and the role of TESLA was played by the actor Vuk Kostić.
