Society Improvement Centre

The Society Improvement Centre is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, founded to improve every aspect of social life, focusing primarily on the empowerment of socially disadvantaged groups, especially children and young people.

“We socialize and study together” is one of the projects that connect the students of humanistic sciences with parentless children who live in orphanages. In this project, every child chooses a student who takes them to sports events, swimming, theatre, picnics, etc. These spontaneous processes create the family atmosphere that naturally exists among brothers and sisters, helping the children to develop the ability to adapt to regular social life after the orphanage (pay for rent, keep a job, save money, avoid criminal actions, etc.)

The student volunteers who take part in this humanitarian action have a chance to learn a lot about working with socially disadvantaged groups and gain practical experience in the field.

Having recognized the importance of the Society Improvement Centre’s activities, Mona company has decided to provide financial support for the projects. If you would like to learn more about the Centre and provide additional support, we invite you to visit its website and Facebook page.

NURDOR
NURDOR

Nurdor is the national community of parents whose children suffer from cancer and consists of parents, doctors, medical staff, and other individuals willing to help. Ever since its foundation in 2003 in Belgrade, the community has been taking care of the children and their parents across Serbia.

The community members are provided with psychosocial support and help with gaining legal rights through counselling and workshops. Additionally, the institution takes part in the education of parents and children, medical staff, volunteers, and the public.

Mona company shares NURDOR’s values whose core principle is the improvement of the quality of the medical treatment, as well as the quality of life of children suffering from cancer.

Believing that everyone can contribute in their own way, we have been continuously supporting the rights of the children and their parents, respecting the diversity and uniqueness of each individual. Thus, we financially supported the building and furnishing of the new haemato-oncology department at Children’s Internal Medicine Clinic in Nis, in 2018.

The Cap for Handicap

The civic initiative “The Cap for Handicap” was founded in September 2012. The organization embraces all the citizens, institutions, and socially responsible companies willing to voluntarily collect plastic caps that are later sold to recycling companies. The earned funds are used for the purchase of orthopaedic equipment which is gifted to physically disabled individuals.

The initiative’s mission is to improve their quality of life and empower them to use their full potential in society.

Mona company has been supporting “The Cap for Handicap” for years. Thereby, all the offices and departments are equipped with boxes dedicated to the collection of plastic bottles and caps which are discarded by the employees.
